The Prom Hair Project

September 2, 2011 in ? What is a Twistii ?

The Prom Hair Project - Prom Hair 2012We are launching the Prom Hair Project for 2012. The pilot program for 2011 went very well, and we are ready to roll it out to everyone!

The Prom Hair Project provides no charge hairstyling services to girls who patronize “prom boutiques” which provide dresses, shoes, purses and accessories at no charge to the girls. Twistii and our volunteers will be putting together hairstyling & make up kits. The hair accessories will be Twistiis, clip on flowers, tiaras and headbands. We also include some basics like bobby pins and elastic bands. We expect to send out about 25,000 kits this 2012 prom season.
There are two ways for boutique customers to take advantage of services:
1) On location hairstyling services where we have hair & make up artists on site at the event, or boutique
2) Glass Slipper Coupons – gift certificates the girls may use at any participating salon.

Also, Twistii will be providing Prom Hairstyling & Make Up Kits to the boutiques along with various hair accessories and how to guides.
The economy isn’t getting any better and the boutiques are anticipating a higher turnout for services. Because there are so many people unemployed, and everyone is feeling the financial squeeze, Prom and formal events are going to be a welcome distraction.
We have started a facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Prom-Hair-Project/243625022339295 Find Us & Like Us and we will link back to you!
Thank you for your time to read this

Would you like to learn how to create an updo for your clients in 15 minutes, or less?

Perfect for the wedding, prom and event season, Twistii allows you to try a style on a client before you commit to those 900 Hair Pins!

Twistii is an updo salon styling tool which is used by stylists to create elaborate, or simple updos.

Customer review:

I wanted my hair up in a traditional updo, but my husband (& my mother) wanted it down.
Our compromise was that our hairstylist would use a Twistii so I could easily take the updo down after the formal ceremony.
My stylist also taught me how to do a simple side twist using the Twistii.  This way, I could create a fun & unique style myself on my honeymoon”
Twistii replaces hair pins - NOT your hair stylist!
