Covid-19 Update
It’s been a little while since our last update, back in February we were really excited after attending our first Spring Fair at the NEC followed by the New York Toy Fair later that same month.
We had just partnered with Dublin based Innov8 Creative Academy and were busy making plans and developing Twistii to ensure we made the most of 2020. Then like many small businesses, Covid-19 soon put a stop to all that.
Just as we were gaining momentum, we had to put the brakes on and adjust to an entirely different way of working. After almost four months, Mark and I are still working from home and getting used to not being able to shoot questions to one another over the top of our computers, or bounce ideas around over a coffee and a quick game of Space Invaders. Instead we’re sat at the dining room table, working out what’s next whilst listening to the hum of the dishwasher!
We downloaded Skype and continue to talk daily and liaise with Gavin Lawler and his team at Innov8 managing enquiries and despatching orders – albeit a little slower than we would usually like. As we all begin emerging from this unprecedented situation and the economy slowly starts up again, we are all wondering what life is going to look like for the rest of this year and the outlook for 2021.
We are very fortunate to have customers like you who have shared our journey from the very beginning, experiencing the highs, the lows, technical hitches and now a global pandemic.
Mark, myself and Innov8 will be doing everything we can to ensure that Twistii pushes forward as we have so many plans and want to get Twistii onto the wrists of many more people. We are still taking orders via our website and would like to thank each and every one of you that has purchased or got in touch via email and social media to offer support.
We are very fortunate to have customers like you who have shared our journey from the very beginning, experiencing the highs, the lows, technical hitches and now a global pandemic (I never thought I’d be adding something like that to the list!). We believe that there is a great deal to be learnt from this experience and as a business we have been forced to adapt quickly but endeavour to be a part of the economic recovery and come out of 2020 stronger and in better shape than ever.*
On a positive note we do have some terrific news to add which we hope will be the start of an exciting new chapter for Twistii, but we’re not quite able to share just yet. We are still in the process of planning and production but hope to be in a position to share this with you very soon, so please stand by.
* We’re referring to Twistii. Not Mark and I… working from home unfortunately means being nearer the fridge!
